| About Me | Finished college in NC and moved to Missouri for two years (with Todd's job) where I worked at the local university (SMSU). Moved back to NC in 1991 and have been here ever since. I worked in RTP doing toxicology research for 5 years (formerly CIIT). For the last 12 years Iâ??ve worked at Talecris Biotherapeutics in the Quality Organization and more recently in Regulatory Affairs. We produce plasma-derived, critical care treatments for people with life-threatening disorders. I am in drug development which means we find new proteins, look for a possible indication(s) for them and then study them in a clinical setting. I hope to see at least one of these go to market as it takes many years to go from lab to license. I have two darling children, both girls (14 and 10) who keep us busy with competitive cheer and dance. There is nothing more rewarding (or sometimes as frustrating!) than being their mother.
