Every Good thing is a Gift Of God. God definitely had plans for Chris for the next several years . . Chris Guilfoyle was born on May 17, 1958 in Cincinnati Ohio. Chris was born a premature baby weighing at 3 pds had a lot of great Challenges from the day she was born. But with the Irish blood she could accomplish anything and everything that was thrown at her for years. I would have to agree entirely and say Chris is definitely a Gift of God like each and everyone of us. Attended Harrison Elementary You have to remember Chris was a small runt walked to school every day. Attended School for a few years she was then transferred to St Johns the Baptist Church in Harrison Ohio. St John the Baptist School From the old days in a small town in Harrison a lot of classmates enjoyed hanging out on the playground during those days playing a lot of dodgeball, hide and seek and kickball kick the can. Played basketball and softball in Grade school and she hung around with Cindy Robbins and Sharon Webster. .Some of her classmate friends were Pat Kunze, Cindy Dorthy Robbins, Betty Simpson and many more. Chris also played basketball and softball. Favorite Past times. Riding their bikes on Campbell Road, Harrison Swimming Pool :: where Jeff Elrod taught her How to swim, Tammy Guilfoyle taught her how to backdive, Camping at Beth McGowan and sneaking out at night to Go to King Kwik for candy.. Scott put a radio In her first car boy that was a really Cool day for Chris . Swimming at the Buddenburgs house. Hung around With Terri, Kim and Tracy Went swimming in the Hornsbys pool and played Wiffleball and football with all of the boys. Played cards with Howard Gerry Jan and Catherine. She also hung around with Tonya Loos Judy Kramer Chris did a lot of camping with Brownies and Girl Scouts. During her Younger years she giggled and giggled and giggled. After attending grade school she attended William Henry Harrison High While in Harrison High School she spent some quality time in Junior Achievement GAA and spent a lot of time on Friday nights working at Pasqualies and going to Harrison Football Games with Teresa Cloncs, Jerry Simpson Bob Tyler Rick Hawk Janet Pryor Barb Schulte Mary Schulte Denise Randolph She also hung around with Tonya Loos Judy Kramer and attended Brownie and Girl Scouts for years. Also spent some time with Diane Hoerst in 4H.On the volunteering was in Junior Achievement where she met Kip Lehman John Steele and Larry Baumgardner . . .While attending Harrison High School Football games And had a date with Brent Rolfes and Gary Lang. First two years Of High School she went to Harrison High School the second two years were at Diamond Oaks. She also hung around a lot with Denise Randolph and Barb Schulte. Spent a lot of time at Teresa Cloncs and Barb Schultes house. During Chris High school years she was what you would say a runt. Weighing around 70 pounds in High School. But she found her own way With her friends at in School playing different types of sports. Sports Basketball at St Johns, Softball in High School. While in High School She was a catcher and she being small and all was protected from the a few of her buddies who were Acra girls, Coop, and Sis Glascock Donna Dean . jOBS She had a job in High School working at Pasquales Pizza and hung out With Jacki Stirrett, Wendy Koch and that is where she met a great guy By the name of Joe Grimes. What a keeper. Boyfriends. Here past boyfriends were Gary Lang who loved her more than anything in the world. It was a childhood crush that Chris showed no interest Whatsoever in Gary she did a double date reluctantly with Lu Ann Bach, Andy Klopstein then mom and dad did talk her into going to the Coronation with Gary Lang. Chris also went out with Werner Hallibrin in High School and went to The prom with Werner. She dumped Werner Then she met one of the loves of her life they were the perfect match During high school years she went out with Joe Grimes from Harrison for A few years Chriss mom and dad opposed on Joe because he was a few Years 2 years younger than her. So Chriss dad pretty much told Joe to Get lost. What a cruel thing to do at that time. JOE GRIMES RIP To this day Chris still thinks about Joe but God had a plan for this Guy who had a heart of gold and the biggest smile when he entered the Room could light up the room. Joe after high school became a car salesman and unfortunately was killed in an autombile accident. As they say they always take the good ones away from everyone . Both of her sisters were very popular in Cheerleading but during Chris's High School years she was involved in other activities which consisted of played softball, Girls Athletic Association and was very involved in Junior Achievement with Cincinnati Incorporated. Diamond Oaks She took Clerk Typist and everyone in their class was and still is very extremely close to each other. Everyone at Diamond Oaks had nicknames Barb Schulte was Schultz you had the Young Twins Bev and Barb was big red and little red, Erin Murphy was Murph, Pam Wise was PJ Barb Bowles was bootsie and the list goes on and on. HERB DIETZ She also developed a nickname Shorty from a lifelong friend Herb Dietz. You have to remember Chris was very small and bashful compared to her other family members. She went to Diamond Oaks and I can remember her saying she was totally nervous going to Diamond Oaks and she was standing in a hallway and a very sofisticated in her mind Georgeous teacher walked up to her and said are you lost?? Of course Chris in her bashful way said yes. Herb Dietz helped her find her way. From the day Herbie met Chris she developed a nickname Shorty which she still keeps as of today with her Diamond Oaks Buddies. POGUES After graduating from Wm Henry Harrison and Diamond Oaks, she worked in Retail in Human Resources and Payroll With H & S pogue company. Pogues : Her expertise was always in finances and payroll. When working at Pogues she helped with the processing of payroll. Even though there was 1100 Employees everyone knew and loved everything about Chris. During Pogues days she got to spend some quality time with Uncle Dan who Managed the restaurant at Pogues, and also formed a lifelong relationship with Isa Sabato. She worked in the Audit Department and had a great relationship with her boss Jamel Zenni. She also did a car pool from Harrison. Every day and spent mornings eating breakfast with Barb Schulte and Gerry Estes at Hathaways or Graeters downtown and of course anyone who knows her a new nickname should be sleepy due to the amount of times she fell asleep on the bus and missed her stops going to or from work. Downtown in the 70's was the happening place to be Christmas Lights, Shopping at Shillitos Mabley And Carew, McAlpins which was known for their great Fish, Gidding Jenny with their purple bags and dont forget the great Christmas Display in the Arcade. and the talking reindeers in the Arcade. GIDDING JENNY Once Pogues closed she continued her career in Retail and worked at Gidding Jenny as a Payroll Benefits Manager. It was a very close family owned business and everyone was extremely close to each associate and Also the Millers and Hymans who ran the store. These are some things a Few friends said about Chris at Gidding. Mike Stevens : Chris is an extremely loyal and highly motivated person. . Her pleasant attitude and congenial personality has always made her a pleasure to be with. Tony Bowden : Chris has always been a very dedicated person on a Personal and professional level. Who was always meticulous in her day to day activities which is very rare in an individual. Chris as of today still talks to Tony and Mike. As Tony would say I will miss the old daysWith Chris going to lunch and also going to Wah Mee for Shrimp Egg Fu Young. Tragedy in Life Lost Baby and son One of Chris's hard challenges was in 1984 when she started to loose weight while working at Gidding Jenny Tony Bowden did not realize at that time Chris was pregnant with her first child and determined later that she suffered a miscarriage and lost her first born and only child Francesco Joseph Oliverio (Joey). Tony her Husband and Tony Bowden were at the Hospital while she had surgery and her mother in law Flora stayed at the house when she came home from the hospital for many many years a lot of people did not realize that Chris was 10-12 weeks pregnant and lost her only child . Tony and chris named their first born after Tonys dad Francesco Joseph after Joe Poppy Joe grandpa, and Joe Grimes. You see Tony knew about Joe and what type of husband would take the time to recognize Joe was a big part of her life and let her make the decision of their name Chris Would have been a great mom but God had plans for her. ADP Once she left Gidding Jenny she obtained a career at ADP. Chris worked With a lot of different companies from the Lexington Louisville Cincinnati Area with the processing of payroll. She had a lot of fun when they had their year end parties and all of the departments had a Great repor, Her first job was in the Teledata Department keying payrolls where she had a good supervisor by the name of Maureen Iames, She also formed a great relationship with Alan Walters, Kat Sharp, Sheryl, Steve Thompson Ken Syles and everyone in Client Services, A great bond with Sales. Kathy Sharp::::: “Chris is has a great commitment to everyone she knows including her husband Tony. Unfortunately on a sad note Chris had to Leave ADP due to a family illness where Tony was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. CHRIST HOSPITAL DR ALBRIGHT She developed a nickname from Chris Hospital from Dr Albright "Boss". She by all means was not a bossy person but developed this nickname Because is she was very detailed, caring, sensitive, nurturing in Everything she did and went beyond the call of duty and more. In her next life down the road I definitely think when its her time to go to heaven she will be a Nurse. There are not many people that would spend many years days and weeks of countless Dr Appointments, Er Visits And still continue to have a good frame of mind. As of today she still takes care of Tonys needs on a daily basis. After leaving ADP Chris worked at the Kroger Call center for a while and met a lot of different individuals Fermin and Cathi Meinkin as of today are still great friends. Kroger was a temporary job while taking care of Tony Hamilton County Prosecutors office working with Mike Allen. She learned how to process Child Support and Bankruptcy claims working with everyone on the 5th floor all associates on the 5th floor have a great bond for each other. She had a great relationship with Dave Kelly Diana Booth John Albert She formed a great relationship with Judges Attorneys, and her associates.
