He graduated from William Penn High School and later studied and earned certification as a Diesel Mechanic. Nate was employed by various companies, but he retired from the Harrisburg School District, Parks and Recreation, as a Sanitation Driver.

One of Nate’s passions was bodybuilding and instructing others in the art. He loved playing the guitar and drawing. But his greatest passion was working on cars. He was the neighborhood mechanic. He shared his knowledge of mechanics with all his nephews and anyone who wanted to learn. He was also known for helping family and friends with household repairs from electrical work, bleeding furnaces and the list goes on.

Nathaniel departed this life on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA, at seventy-one years of age.

Nate is survived by his sons, Isaac Roberts and Nathaniel Roberts Jr. of Harrisburg, PA; daughter Annette; his dog Max whom he loved dearly; his siblings, Do`Ries Roberts Jr. (Shirley Roberts) of Rochester, New York, Catherine McDonald, Nina Trollinger, Dale J. Roberts and Ethel V. Roberts, all of Harrisburg, PA. Roberts, Jonathan E. Cornelius, Michael Trollinger, Kareem Trollinger, Charles Roberts and Trendell Roberts.

Nate was well liked and respected by everyone he knew. In the neighborhood, he was referred to as “Gator,” and to the young ones, male and female, he was “Uncle Nate.” Nate loved hanging with family, friends and riding around with his dog Max. Even with his health challenges, Nate fought the good fight until the end. The journey continues from Earth to Glory, Rest In Peace!
