About	Kevin E. Gates The Tribune-Democrat CHAMBLEE, GA. — GATES – Kevin E. “Goon,” 48, Chamblee, Ga., formerly of Westover, died Nov. 16, 2013, in Adamsville, Ala. Born April 5, 1965, he was a son of the late Orrin and Daphne (Blake) Gates. Kevin was a 1984 graduate of the Harmony Area High School. Kevin worked as a laborer for Dixie Tree in the southeast United States. Kevin loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed NASCAR. Kevin is survived by his soul mate, Sabrina Gauze, and her children, Paige and Sammy, Dayton, Ohio, and Larry Gauze in the U.S. Air Force, San Antonio, Texas. Kevin also is survived by 11 siblings, Darlene Weckerly, Port Charlotte, Fla.; Janette Finegan, Akron, Ohio; LeeAnn Weakland, and husband, Raymond, Westover; Chalmer Gates, Akron, Ohio; Nancy Wilson, and husband, Don, Glen Campbell; Sandra Rinesmith, and husband, Ron, Tallmadge, Ohio; Tom Gates, and wife, Gracie, Akron, Ohio; Terry Gates, and wife, Nancy, Canton, Ohio; Arthur Gates, Dublin, Ga.; Robin Gates, and wife, Nancy, Evans Mills, N.Y.; and Michael Gates, Akron, Ohio; and two half sisters, Stacy (Grubbs) Brady, Akron, Ohio, and Christine Gates, Akron, Ohio. Also surviving are two aunts, Patricia Baird, Ohio, and Pauline Barrett of Mahaffey, and numerous nieces and nephews. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jeffrey. Kevin will be remembered for his unconditional love for everyone and being a pal to his nieces and nephews. Services were held in Buford, Ga. Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., 91 Rose St., Irvona, is assisting the family.
