Louis Hernandez
Class of 1971
Lou was born in Baymon, Puerto Rico and graduated from Yale University with honors. He has been working in the film and creative industry for over 30 years.
Lou has held positions from Art Director to Senior Vice President Creative Director at major advertising agencies in New York and in Europe, Grey, Dancer Fitzgerald Sample, Lawerence Charles free & Lawson, Dino Belti Milano Italy, working on such national accounts as Revlon, Clairol, McDonalds, Bristol Meyers, Air France, Timex, Canon, Nikon, American Express, General Foods, Toyota,Revlon,Donald Trump, etc. Included in his many responsibilities have been numerous experiences abroad, solving creative situations for international clients. Fashion and highly stylized image campaigns hallmark his work.
Lou has been honored with a room full of awards, most of which are national and international film awards, such as the Hollywood Radio and Television Society International Broadcast Award, the CLIO, the Art Director Award, Addys Awards, One Show Awards and countless others.
Lou’s advertising career afforded him the opportunity to begin directing TV commercials, which resulted in his membership in the Director’s Guild of America as a director member. He further explored the world of directing by accepting an offer from Michael Eisner to work in Los Angeles on a Disney series Boy Meets World a Micheal Jacobs Productions as a director trainee under David Trianer for and entire season. Additionally, while in Los Angeles, Lou directed numerous music videos and commercial projects.
Lou established Fiddler Films, Inc. In Naples, Florida. Here Lou produces original short films, TV commercials, videos and industrials. He is considered one of the best creative directors in the industry
One more thing—Lou is also an accomplished Artist and photographer ; his works are in many private collections—national and international.
In short, Lou brings exuberant enthusiasm to all his projects. His boundless capacity for creativity is one of his greatest assets. Lou has a vision. He sees himself surrounded by a sea of endless possibilities.
