Rev. Joe Franklin Choate Jr., 63, of Palmetto died January 15, 2012. He was born November 2, 1948 in Wauchula, Florida to Joe and Mary Jones Choate Sr. Rev. Choate was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1967-1973 and was Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of Palmetto. Survivors include, wife, Deborah; son, Jac, Parrish; daughter, Christa Callaway, (Chris), Monroe, NC; mother, Mary Durrance; brother, David; sister, Renee, all of Lake Placid, Florida. Four grandchildren also survive. Visitation, Thursday January 19, 2012, 10-11 AM at First Baptist Church of Palmetto, with service at 11 AM. Interment will be in the Sarasota National Cemetery
