Albert Marion Blum 72, of Wauchula passed away on January 31, 2021 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Albert was born in Sarasota, Fl. July 5, 1948. He was a resident of Hardee County for most of his life. Albert touched many people through his life’s work. He proudly served our country while in the US Navy, and went on to be a substitute teacher for Hardee County schools, he worked as a meat cutter for both Winn Dixie and S&S grocery, he was a Pastor at Union Baptist Church of Lily, as well as an Interim Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church and a Pastor at Lake Dale Baptist Church, where he retired a year and a half ago. Albert was preceded in death by both his parents George Lawrence Blum and Doris Robbins Blum and one of his sons Christopher Blum. Albert is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Blum of Wauchula, FL.; his son James Allen Blum of Wauchula, Fl.; daughter Samantha Elaine Fenton of Wauchula, Fl.; two brothers George Dutch Blum (Nancy) of Palm City, Fl. and Reed Hodges (Roxanne) of Kentucky; three sisters Brenda Blum of Wauchula, Fl., Patty Teel of New Jersey and Sharon Porter of New Jersey; Grandchildren, Austin Miller of Texas, Dylan Miller of Texas, Hunter Bryant of Tampa, Fl., Alex Fenton of Wauchula, Fl., Gabriel Fenton of Wauchula, Fl. Nathan Fenton of Wauchula, Fl. Nathaniel Fenton of Wauchula, Fl.
A visitation will be held at Lake Dale Baptist Church Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00PM with Funeral services to begin at 3:00Pm. Internment will take place at Lake Dale Cemetery with Military Honors. Pastor Duane Willis, Pastor Joshua Dollar, and Pastor Mike Davis will be officiating services.
