| About Me | 1982: Walk-On Placekicker at Auburn University 1985: Signed a full athletic football scholarship as placekicker in Arkansas 1985: Set longest field goal record in school history (51 yds); and most consecutive PATs in a season (34) and Best PAT percentage (100) 1986: Set Field Goal record (54yrds) and Best Field percentage for a season (93%) and career (90%) 1987: Invited to attend NFL Scouting combines in Washington and Texas 1987: Signed with NFL agent out of Dallas Texas following two exceptional combine performances/evaluations 1987: Signed 1 year contract with the Dallas Cowboys and remained on the Developmental Squad 1987: Played Replacement ball with Philadelphia Eagles during NFL "Strike Season" 1988: Signed contract with San Diego Chargers and remained on Developmental Squad 1988: Graduated during the off season with my BS Degree in Psychology 1989-91: Hired as the Louisiana Tech University Kicking/Special teams Coach 1990: Coached in the Independence Bowl vs. Maryland 1991: Graduated from La Tech with a Masters Degree and received my US Army Commission as a helicopter pilot 1991-1993: Attended US Army Flight School and Basic Officer Course schools 1992: Signed contract to play Semi-Pro football with the Georgia Thrashers; Selected to All-South Conference All Star team; Set Longest Field Goal record (52 yrds) 1993: Left the Army to care for my father 1993-94: Hired as the Kicking/Special Teams Coach at the University of Southern Mississippi 1995-96: Principal and Athletic Director for South Carolina High School 1997-present: Commanded Patriot Missile Battery, Commanded Stinger/Avenger Battery, Selected to serve as the Air Defense Artillery Officer Advance Course Instructor, Commanded Special Operations Detachment, Commanded Special Operations Company, Served as the PSYOP Planner for 3rd, 5th and 10th Special Forces Groups, Completed Airborne and Air Assault Schools, Jumpmaster School, Special Operations "Q" course, Special Warfare Language School in French and German, and various other military schools and training.
