He died in a car accident when he and Peter were driving south to visit his older brother who was in the service.

I don't know how Don died, but I can tell you a little about his family as his older half-sister, Doris, was my best friend when we were kids growing up just down the street from each other on Harvest Avenue in E. Hanover. Don had 3 brothers - Richard, Raymond, Peter. I think Don fell in line after Raymond. He had another older half-sister, Adele. His parents were Al & Phyllis Newman. My family moved from Harvest Ave. when Don was still pretty young, so I'm sorry, I can't tell you anything about his life. Suffice it to say, it ended much too soon. RIP, Donald.
