About Me	I live in Maryland outside of Annapolis. I moved to Tennessee shortly after high school to attend the University of Tennessee, I received a bachelors in Sociology & Anthropology. I moved to Phoenix, AZ and attended ASU received a MS in Counseling. I was a therapist specializing in suicidal teens for several years. Surprisingly I burnt out on the therapist gig. I got into academia and finances. I received an MBA from the University of Maryland three years ago. I currently am the Director of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Maryland.I manage a budget of $20+ Million a year, the business office, the academic counseling office and contract and grants for the Department. I got married in 2000 to Marcus Schuetz. I met my husband when I went to Berlin, Germany for a conference. He is great, but I am biased. He has a Ph.D. in Physics, but works as an optical engineer in Industry. He is actually the reason we ended up in MD, I rather enjoyed AZ. I had my first child in December 2004, Connor Alexander Schuetz (a son) and my second in 2007 Xander Martin Schuetz. We also have a parrot; two dogs, and three cats.
