Eastern Airlines Flight #66 crashed while on approach to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Crashed as a result of sudden wind shear, killing 124 people on board. Only 8 survived. Played professional basketball for New York Nets and was the best friend of Julius "Dr. J" Erving. The Nets won the ABA Championship in 1974.
