I joined the Navy right after graduation in '66. I was trained as a medical corpsman and served at Camp Lejune, NC, Subic Bay, Phillipines and was stationed aboard the USS Repose, AH-16, a hosptial ship off the coast of Vietnam in 69'-70'.

I went to ETSU on the GI Bill working as an orderly in the emergency room at the old Johnson Clity Memorial Hospital, I obtained a degree in nursing and went into the USAF as a commissioned officer from '73-'80 and in the reserves until '82. Leving with the rank of Major.

Our Hampton High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Hampton High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Hampton are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
