| About Me | Since I graduated from Hampton High School(Hampton, VA) in 1978 I have graduated with a Bachelors degree in Music Education from West Virginia University in 1982. While I was a student at WVU I was in the Pride of West Virginia Marching band and a member of Kappa Kappa Psi and Alpha Phi Omega fraternities. Upon Graduating from WVU I took a job at Newport News Shipbuilding And Dry Dock Company in 1982 in Department 053 Material Support and Inventory Control. While employed there I was part of a team that ordered the materials to overhaul the Aircraft Carrier Nimitz (CVN 68) and build the USS Eisenhower (CVN 69). I stayed there until May of 1985 when I enlisted in the USAF as an Aviation Maintenance Specialist (Crew Chief). I was assigned to the National Emergency Airborne Command Post (E4-B) as well as the "Looking Glass" RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft which were both stationed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska until May 1989. From 1989 -1991 I was an Aviation Maintenance Trainer for Boeing in Riyadah Saudi Arabia assigned to the Boeing Peace Sentinal IV Project. In 1992 I returned to Graduate School to pursue a masters degree in Human Relations - Professional Counseling and worked at various residential treatment facilities as a Psychiatric Therapy Technician or Mental Health Technician and Mental health Technician Supervisor. I got my first job as an in home licensed professional counselor with Maplewood Behavioral Health Services in Omaha, NE. I went to work for UTA Halee-Cooper Village's Adolescent Residential Treatment Community as a Licensed Professional Counseler in Omaha, Nebraska. In August of 2007 my wife and I moved to Houston,Texas so that she could pursue her Doctorate Degree in Nursing and teach nursing students. I went to work for Harris County as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Jails doing Psycho-Social Assessments for defendents prior to their appearance in probable cause court. I am now working for the Mental Health Mental Retardation Authority of Harris County as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Forensic New Start Program as a Clinical Team Leader supervising (6) people. I am happily married to a Licensed Nurse Midwife and Nursing Educator Marianne Moore who is persuing her Doctorate Degree from the University of Texas School of Nursing. I have two step-daughters Elizabeth and Emily who I am VERY proud of! Elizabeth graduated from TCU in 2009 and graduated with high honors.
