| About Me | Retired as a Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps with over 20 years of service as an photographic electronics technician specializing in intelligence systems. Worked in research & development of those systems as the Marine Corps representative on a tri-service effort with the US Army and US Air Force. Spent over five years as a robotics engineer at NASA Langley Research Center's Intelligent Systems Research Laboratorry (ISRL) working with the Laboratory Telerobotic Manipulator (LTM) as lead programmer and system's manager. Managed the Electronic Data Management Integration Activity for the aircraft carrier program for Newport News Shipbuilding for almost five years and also managed the digital libraries (technical manuals and engineering drawings) for the submarine progams for the Los Angeles, Seawolf, and Virginia class vessels for the US Navy. Worked for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA in the security department for nine years as a supervisor (zone officer) for both in park and mobile patrols. For the past nine years I have been employed by CSC ATG as a security police sergeant for NASA Langley Research Center, a position from which I retired from in December 2012. Married Lynda Lee Wharton on May 5, 1969 and we currently live in the Riverside area of Newport New, VA. We have five children - Charles (Chuck), Kimberly (Kim), John Jr., Kasimira (Kasi) and Thomas (Tommy) and twelve grandchildren - William (Will or Billy), Tyler, Kyara, Tela, Nigiel, Aleigh, Francis (Frankie), Aurora, Kyra, Tiara, Prudence and Ella.
