| About Me | Hi Folks, After high school, I worked in electronics mfg as a buyer at CAC in Keller and as photomask technician at TI in Dallas for 6 years before I left Texas in 1974. Had a few relationships in that timeframe, but I didn't know what I needed in a woman or how to be my best for her at that time. Moved from Dallas to Portland, Or in '74 as part of another bad romance path. Went to electronics school there for awhile and started working with HP in '76 in Corvallis, Or as a process tech, equipment tech, and then mfg supervisor. It was a great silicon fab startup environment and HP was a really good place to work. Really enjoyed the quarterly beer busts with bands and the summer picnics offsite at regional parks. I met the girl of my dreams there (ie, dreams where I took the time to envision someone with all the character traits I wanted and could respect over time). I actually practiced the same envisioning exercises to find the perfect job with HP at the time also. Both occurred with 3-4 months of starting those daily exercises. Enough on that, but just know that I have successfully used, forgotten, remembered, and reused these positive envisioning exercises throughout my life to manifest the reality that I want. I married my dream girl in Sept'79 and had my our son and daughter in '82 & '84. We stayed in Oregon until Feb'84 and then moved to Silicon Valley to take an engineering job that led to engineering management in 6 months. Since then I've been in one form of engineering management or another to this day. My kids have been out of college since 2005 and son is a Capt in US Army Signal Corp. Daughter is a thriving artist in Laguna Beach, CA about 1.5 hrs from us, but my son and his wife and our 4 grand-daughters are in Seattle area. We moved from the SF Bay Area (where we raised our kids in Pleasanton) down to SoCal in Escondido and now Temecula back in '03. Life has been good to us and we try to be good to those around us, ie, pay it forward. I've been lucky to stay in good health and I expect to for another 15-20 years. So I'm retiring from Tesla this July'23 and hope to make my second fortune trading stocks and options which I've been doing part-time since the mid-90's. Looking forward to more travelling, playing more guitar, dancing to bands at local wineries with my wife, and spending more time with my kids and grandkids.
