Marine Corps, 4 Years
After Boot Camp, attended radio telegraph school,was stationed at 29 Palms marine base for 4 months, then spent 15 mos. in Japan with 3rd Bt 3rd Mar. Reg. 3rd Mar.Div. Nov.10th1956 was sent to Saudi Arabia, ending up in Karachi Pakistan. The disturbance had quieted down so returned to Japan. upon return to States, went to Camp Lejune,N.C. Left there in Jan 1958 for the Mediteranian Sea for a lot of amphib landings, and in July 15th we landed in Lebanon to help stop the civil war going on,staying there til Oct. leaving there returned to Lejune and was discharged in Dec 58.
