Favorite School Memory	Stephanie Jackson and Leslie Carlson were talking about the recent Atlanta child murders, one day at the beginning of Mr. Hoyt's physics class in the spring of senior year. When they speculated on some of the personal characteristics of the unknown killer, Mr. Hoyt overheard them and incorrectly guessed that they were disparaging a fellow student. Mr. Hoyt became enraged, and in defense of this non-existent pupil, threw Stephanie out into the hall despite her pleas of innocence and Leslie's testimony in her defense. She was not permitted to reenter the classroom for the rest of the period.
