Matt was my best friend and I considered him a brother. It was an honor to be able to spend time with him while he was with us. From 1999 to 2011, I could count on him to be there. He was the first friend I made to in a new town my first day of high school in Ms. Gillens math class. He was among the few I kept in touch with after high school and the only person I roomed with in my adulthood. He was the genuine article, the real deal and all around great person.
