Favorite School Memory	Pleasant Memories: (1) Earning a position and contributing on four varsity football teams; (2) Surviving Mrs. Frances Aderholt's freshman English class - the only teacher I ever feared from the first day to the last; (3) All the pep rallies in the gym on game day; (4) Dating - from my first car date to the movies in April 1968 until a June 1970 trip to Panama City Beach to meet up with my girlfirend and her Sub-Deb friends. Riding with good buddies Lee Dobbs and Tim Morris, we totaled Lee's car in Defuniak Springs, FL in a multi-car pileup. Some dates were much more memorable than others. One especially memorable date was to the WVOK Shower of Stars at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham in July 1969; (5) Driver ed. class - once all the way to Tuscaloosa - saw Clint Eastwood's "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly" for the first time that night while my instructor was at the University working on his masters; (6) Typing class with Mrs. Martha Northcutt - a fun class! Now-a-days I peck at a keyboard a good portion of the day. (7) Team outings, feeds, parties and bus rides; (8) Spending time in the Alabama football locker room with Coach Beasley at Coach Jim Goostree's (Bama Trainer) invitation prior to the game with Vanderbilt - and while there meeting Coach Bryant's 1961 National Championship quarterback, Dr. Pat Trammell, as he observed the trainer's work; (9) In English Literature listening to and discussing 1960's music in Mrs. Polly Drake's class. About Me	Following 2 years at Northwest, obtained B.S. Degree from UNA in May 1975. Hired District Manager for propane gas company with operations and retail sales offices in Rome, GA and Anniston, AL 1975 - 1977. Married Linda Hall of Calhoun, GA September 4, 1976. Personal production insurance sales and agency manager until 1992 / Manufacturing Superintendent until 1997 / Human Resources/Safety Manager until 2014 - Kaiser Aluminum, Florence, AL / Safety Manager at Kith Kitchens, 280 N. Industrial Loop, Haleyville, AL since June 2015 / Bible class teacher since 1977 / Elder in my church since 2010-2020 / HHS Band Booster President 2000-2002; Vice President 1998 - 2000 / My wife and I supported our children by fundraising, attending band competitions, half-time shows, and cross-country and track meets all over the state both in high school and college. Our daughter was a member of the "Roaring Lion" Band at HHS for five years and "Pride of Dixie" Marching and Concert Bands at UNA for four years. She now teaches elementary school in the Shoals area. Our son ran cross-country and track for 6 years at HHS and was a State meet qualifier and participant for 4 years as a long distance runner. He graduated UNA in 2013.
