About Me I moved to CA in 1986 (the middle of my sophomore year), where I lived in two different cities (Lancaster, CA and Ventura, CA), which meant two more high schools added to my collection LOL. In 1988, I went off to college in Orange, CA. In 1992, I graduated with my B.A. in Political Science, but decided that I had enough of politics and went into the Insurance industry instead. I married my college sweetheart (a US Marine MP and Desert Storm Vet) a year after I graduated. That marriage ended shortly after it started. In 1997, I moved to Phoenix, AZ to start over. From 1994 through mid 1999, I worked as a Benefits Counselor, educating employees across the country about their Employee Benefits packages. I traveled way more than I had expected- and I LOVED it! In 1999, I decided it was time for me to take a desk job, so I went to work for Express Scripts, a Pharmacy Benefits Management company, as an Account Manager. I oversaw all the workings of the Pharmacy Benefits for self-funded employers (like medical insurance, but only the drug plan part). In Jan 2002, I found myself too ill to work. After seeing several specialist doctors, I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Sjögren’s (three rheumatoid disorders... not fatal, but debilitating). I haven't been able to work since. In 2013, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I guess I’ve had it all my life, which is why I was always so tired and got sick so easily. In 2004, I re-married, and my husband and I moved into a 6 bedroom house with our seven cats (our "fur-babies" LOL). We don't have children, and most likely won't have any in the future due to my illnesses (it can be passed from mother to child, and I wouldn't wish Fibromyalgia or MS on anyone). We may adopt once the economy starts heading in a more positive direction. My husband and I have recently become more politically active with the 912 Project. UPDATE: Divorced in 2019. My husband became increasingly abusive over the last 12 or so years. I finally reached out for help. I now live in a small town up in the mountains of Central Ariz...(read more)
