I graduated in 1974 with 48 others and it seems like yesterday....not really. Since then I had jobs in several different areas until I finally settled into what I REALLY wanted to do. I became an RN in 1990 and LOVE my job. Presently I am working as a Private Duty RN for 2 different children in their homes. I worked in Labor and Delivery for 15 yrs before that in Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC (9 yrs), Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood , SC (2 yrs), Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA (4 yrs), and Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, IA (3 yrs which included Long Term and Acute Care patients), and 5 yrs in Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, IA on a Medical Surgical Unit. I have a Bachelors in Sociology with accreditation in Social Work from ISU, An associates and Bachelors in Nursing from Des Moines Area Community College and Western North Carolina University respectively as well as an Associates, Bachelors and Masters in Ministry from Shalom Bible College and Seminary in West Des Moines, IA. Apparently I've been trying to prove I'm "smart" enough for several years!! I'm an ordained minister and have made a mission trip to Mexico and studied with missionaries in Puerto Rico. I've been married for 2 1/2 yrs to Tony Casper (I kept my maiden name) and have a 12 yr old step-son. I first wed in 1989 and became a widow in 1993; re-married in 1989 and divorced in 1998; re-married in 2001 and divorced in 2007 and re-married in 2010. I'm looking forward to attending our 40 yr reunion in 2014!!!
