About Event
Final Recap: The reunion is TOMORROW, Sept. 9th from noon-6pm at the Turtlehead Lake Forest Preserve, 13600 S. Harlem Ave., Orland Park (west side of the street) and we have approx. 120+ classmates signed up to attend! YAY!
There’ll be chicken, sloppy joes and sides delivered b/w 1:30 & 2pm, water, and we ask that you bring your beverage of choice (optional) and a lawn chair (those picnic benches aren't so comfortable after a while!) We are asking for a suggested donation of $25- per person to cover the food & pavilion rental, but all donations will be appreciated, so don't let that deter you from attending. As we shared, any donations over & above covering the food & pavilion rental will go to the high school. As a reminder, the contract asks for No Glass Containers. The pavilion is a bird sanctuary: any nest we are asked not to disturb.
We are thrilled that '72 Classmate Gene Zabilka will be our guest DJ ~ This’ll be fun!
The homecoming game at Richards High School, 106th & Central, Oak Lawn, will be on Friday night, Sept. 8th at 6:30pm so you'll want to get there a bit earlier. Please be sure that I have your name (and your guests’ names) as the Richards Admin want a guest list so that they may waive the entrance fees, etc. Look forward to reconnecting! We'll all sit together in one section of the field/bleachers. There’s talk about going for pizza either after halftime, or after the game. TBD.
If you can’t make the reunion, send me an email by Friday night with an overview/update for your friends to read. Might be a great way to reconnect!
It’s not too late for any classmates to attend the reunion (just try to let me know by Friday night if possible). We’re so looking forward to a fun day of reconnecting with old friends, and taking that special trip down memory lane! See you then!
