| Favorite School Memory | Favorite? Hmmm I have several, but two come to mind... No. 1...Acing P.E. class Sophomore year - big deal, right? Not when it's 2-3 weeks into the semester! We had swimming that semester with Ms. Gucciardi. In that class I was cocky in and out of the water. Most of us were and goofed off most of the time. But me and a few other guys were pretty good swimmers so we had it easy during lesson time much to her dislike. Tired of all our cocky attitudes, Ms. Gucciardi issued a challenge one day about 2-3 weeks in to the class. If any of us 'hot shots' could swim the length of the pool under water from the shallow end to the deep and retrieve a 10 lb. diving brick and bring it to the surface in one breath then she'd give an A for the semester and we could swim or sit as we pleased from that day forward. If we failed then you guessed it - we failed! I was the only one who took the challenge. And I made it! Truthfully, I barely made it because I almost dropped the diving brick on the way up. Of course, I had to make it look like it was no effort at all and came up showing the brick before I came out. Miss Gucciardi was pretty mad because she thought she had me, but what could she do? After all, I had about 15-20 witnesses so she had to give me an A. No. 2...Acing my English final Junior year - twice! I had to take it a 2nd time because Mrs. Korhonen thought I cheated (really, I think she just didn't like me because I was a goof off in her class).
