Fred was a Vice President of Computer Operations at Wachovia Bank in Winston Salem NC at the time of his death. He had given a speech at the American Bankers Association in San Francisco CA on the morning of May 22, 1974. He passed away on June 4th of a brain aneurysm. He left to mourn his loss, his wife, Barbara Miller Tippett, two sons, Tal (Wilfred T Tippett III) and Stephen Tippett, his mother, Eloise Tippett, his dad Wilfred Tippett Sr and a sister Nina T Rose.
