pastor terry m turner was an outstanding athlete on the bluejays, he has been the pasor of the mesquite friendship baptist church for twenty years. Recently he was elected president of the southern baptist convention of texas convention, making him the first black to serve in thata position( a true history maker) His church is a mega church which keeps him very busy recently he completed a four million dollar church building. the church is located in mesquite, tx
