Served onboard the USS Shenandoah AD44, Engineering BT2. Several cruises to the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Libyan Gaddafi “Line of Death” bombing April 1986. Served with some of the finest people I’ve ever known and it was a privilege.

I was a Mess Management Specialist (E-4) stationed at Pearl Harbor and Groton, Ct. I ran the Officer's Barracks, helped in Special Services at Pearl and Barracks Manager at Groton.

I was an MS3 (E-4) stationed at Pearl Harbor from 1975-77 and Groton,CT from 1977-1979. My boot camp company was known as Viet Nam Vets because we graduated 2 weeks before the war ended. It was my pleasure to serve at Subbase at both commands as a barracks manager,billeting manager and duty petty officer

Andean Education - 3 years service, including Peace Corps training, in the city of Arequipa (8,000 feet asl) teaching Math and Physics (in Spanish) in a Peruvian university and various peruvian secondary schools. A great experience! And, in 1998, I returned to Peru with my wife, Frances (see photo). Bob
