Born May 19, 1936, Gerald W. "gerry" Rockwell attended Groton High School in Groton, NY.

Gerry was born in Summerhill and attended First Grade in a one-room schoolhouse, there. When the family moved to Groton, he attended Groton schools where, as a high school student he participated in the Senior Play, as "Art", the fiance of "Margaret" {Glenda Gale] in Seventeenth
Summer. On the yearbook staff for IN RETROSPECT 1954 he served as Photography Editor. Always curious and a good student, Gerry was also inducted into Honor Society. Following graduation he was accepted for an apprentice
program in electronics at General Electric in Syracuse and through his hard work, imagination, and initiative, went on to supervisory and consulting work in electronics and related fields.
Gerry married Joan Clemens and they had four children. The family lived in Brewerton and Newfield, NY. Gerry and Joan later retired to Alabaster, Alabama. Gerry drove from there to the Annual Groton School Reunion in August, 2017.
He died at Shelby Medical Centre, Alabaster Al. at the end of September. A memorial service took place at the Shurtleff Funeral Home in Groton on October 21st, 2017 and at his grave site at the cemetery on Clark St., Groton.
