Sarah Porter Barnes, 73, of Clemson died Friday, November 28, 2014.
Born November 14, 1941 in Griffin, GA, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Elizabeth Maddox Porter. Sarah was a cosmetologist and a member of First Baptist Church of Clemson.
Surviving are her son, Greg Barnes (Krista) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her daughter, Kelly McDavid (Robert) of Clemson; brothers, Paul Porter of Griffin, GA, David Porter of Griffin, GA and Harold Porter of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine McDavid and Dixon, Ainsley and Dorothy Barnes.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted and memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Sarah was my cousin. Lost touch after our marriages. Did not know of her passing for a few years. I did not keep up with news from Griffin. Sarah worked for Delta Airlines when single. Married pro football player Gary Barnes. Had 2 children. Divorced. My wonderful memories of Sarah was when we were single.Love to family.Henrietta Maddox
