About Me	United States Marine Corps, primary MOS (1371) Staff Sergeant Journeyman Combat Engineer, and Sapper/demolitions qualified. Certified Federal military demolitions expert. I made the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6) in six (6) years. From July 2004 – April 2005: Commander of the Combat Engineers in the Lima Co, 3rd Battalion 1st Marines in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF-II); Directly in charge of 57 marines in the urban combat zone and all of the demolition operations in Fallujah, Iraq. Unit was the lead element (Engineer Reconnaissance teams) in the 22 day urban battle for Fallujah. My job was to physically lead teams into the battle zone in front (Spear tip), of the main element to conduct IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) sweeps, counter explosive teams/ urban breachers and house to house urban assaulters, and the use of heavy equipment to clear the battle zone for the Battalion.
