| About Me | Completed my batchelors degree started at U. of M. but conferred by Goodman School of Drama part of Art Institute of Chicago. Started 3 theaters in Chicago, moved to NYC where I worked for New York Shakespeare Festival and Bread and Roses Cultural project of 1199 Hospital and Healthcare Employees Union. Decided to switch careers to journalism and began reporting from SE Asia for 18 years covering tertiary education stories for Chronicle of Higher Education, wrote for National Catholic Reporter, ST. Paul Pioneer Press and Christian Science Monitor as well as Lloyd's List Maritime Asia and Lloyd's Freight Transport Buyer Asia. Married and had two daughters, Jessica and Yolanda. Jessica, a senior at Vanden H.S., has currently been accepted by Mills College and UC Davis and is awaiting word from Stanford and UC Berkeley.
