Favorite School Memory	This one time, in band camp... Heh. Anyway, one time in band camp we were practicing when a thunderstorm blew in. We went inside, but the lightning knocked out the power to the school (This was before they installed emergency lights all over the place.) So, the band is in the bandroom standing in a circle and running through our music, when all the lights go completely out partway through the first piece. We don't stop at all; we continue playing from memory. After we finish the piece, there's a pause because it sounded so incredibly good. Mr. Thompson told Patrick Johnson (our field commander that year) to start the second number. We play through that, and the next and the next; completely from memory with nothing to go by but our ears.
