Green Oaks 40th Birthday Celebration P.O. Box 36767 - Shreveport, LA 71133 Dates: Wednesday, October 12th - Sunday, October 16th, 2011 Wednesday: Registration in the foyer of Green Oaks Auditorium. (Please Note this is for those who have not pre-registered.) Thursday: Coronation - 6:00 p.m. All formal queens and kings are asked to participate. Friday: Pep-Rally - 2:30 p.m./Parade/Game – Each class is asked to wear YOUR class t-shirt. Each class is asked to be responsible for the car that your queen and king ride in during the parade. We are asking all to attend the football game. (Green Oaks vs Ringgold - Burton Stadium, Northwood Stadium - 7:00 p.m.) After-Party at Studio NiJay - North Market (behind Poduh's and Taco Bell); Admission is $6.00 Saturday: Community Carnival begins at 10:00 a.m. on the grounds of Green Oaks High. There will food, games, health booths, live music and much more. There is free admission into the carnival. Tickets for food and games are .25 cent. Food and games cost are set by each booth. Each class is asked to be responsible for a booth. Please submit your booth activity to Mr. Greg French (318.286.9689) carnival chair. Celebration Gala – 8:00 p.m. - Clarion Hotel, 1419 E. 70th Street. Sunday: Church Service in Green Oaks’ Mr. James Auditorium - 2:00 p.m. (We are asking all ministers, musicians and choir members to please submit your name.) In preparation for the service a Mass Alumni Choir is being formed and rehearsals are set for October 3rd & 10th @ 6:00 p.m. @ St. Matthew Church located at 1324 MLK Dr. - Shreveport, LA. T-shirts: Our 40th Year Celebration t-shirts are $10.00 for S-XL; $12.00 for 2X-4XL; and $13.00 for 5XL. Deadline to reinassure that your t-shirt is in your registration bag is September 30th. May checks or money orders payable to Green Oaks Alumni Association and mail them to our PO Box. Celebration Fee is $40.00 per person. The pre-registration form is under the membership tab. *All proceeds will go to the Green Oaks Alumni Association for the better of our SCHOOL and the pathway of our CHILDREN.
