About Me	I have done a study in painting of the influence of the Gay Community on Experimental Theater and Performance Art starting with the 1950's, when "coming out", could mean the end of a successful career in theater and film. Gay bars were illegal and became private coffee clubs where readings, poetry and then doing theater came to life. Both gay and straight geniuses of the time collaborated at Caffe Cino and La Mama. This is where it all began. The 86 paintings from 1950-2011 are now on tape. This is the story and history that I want to preserve and pass on. These are the people with whom I worked and met during my theater career. It is an on going project.
