| About Me | In 1971 ran off to North Carolina with my future wife and got married. In 1972 I joined the U.S. Air Force and was sent to Southeast Asia, Thailand at the tail end of the Vietnam War. In 1975 I attended Thomas Nelson Community College which was a waste of time while working at the Newport News Shipyard in Newport News. Later, I got a job with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Norfolk, VA. I moved around in different jobs working for the U.S. Government, lived in California, Kansas, South Korea, and Virginia numerous times. I got my BA and AA degrees while working for the U.S. Army at Fort Eustis, VA. While working at Fort Belvoir, VA I enrolled online with American Graduate University and last year I finally received my master's degree in Acquisition Mgmt (MAM). While working at Fort Belvoir, VA on April 19, 2000 I also received my Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level Three (3) Certification in Contracting. On June 10, 2003 I was selected for membership in the U.S. Army Acquisition Corps as a Certified Acquisition Professional. After the Pentagon relocated the U.S. Army Materiel Command to Huntsville, Alabama (Rocket City).
