Navy, 20+ Years

Fought in Leganon in 1958, Flew armed in Cuban Crisis in 1962, landing in Gitmo,
after flying reconnisance on Russian missle ships. Flew armed reconnisance on Russian missle ships to Dominican Republic in 1964. Flew and stopped gunrunners and submarines off Vietnam in 1967, captured NVA colonel in 1971 and found gunrunners and submarines in 1974, all three tours in Vietnam.

Army, 20+ Years

Served as A Field Artillery Officer after being drafted in 1966. Spent 2 yeats in Vietnam and 6 in Germany. Retired in 1986 as a Major.

Air Force, 20+ Years

Served as an aircraft maintenance officer primarily with fighter aircraft. Four tours overseas and seven CONUS tours spanning 28 years. The highlight of my career was being promoted to the rank of colonel and commanding a logistcs group of over 1,900 folks at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, where we launched the first American wartime sorties from German soil to Kosovo.

Our Grayville High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Grayville High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Grayville are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
