| Favorite School Memory | The senior lounge where we could hang out and play cards. This was much better than a study hall. |
| About Me | After college (NIU), I went into the Peace Corps and served in the Philippines for three years. I stayed in country and attended graduate school at the U. of the Philippines. When I returned home, I helped my father take care of my mother until she went into a nursing home. In 1977, I began a Ph.D. program in history at the State U. of NY at Buffalo. That brought me back to the Philippines about which I do my academic work. I've also worked as an organizer for the Communications Workers of Am., was a co-manager of the North Buffalo Food Co-op, spent a few years as a radio announcer in the Philippines (rock) and the US (top 40 & "Beautiful Music" -- boring), and served as the CEO of a not-for-profit corp. in Buffalo.
