About Me	Worked as a Supervisor for the Railroad here in Grand Junction for 35 years was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2006 so I retired. Married to a C.H.S. Alumni. Class of 1965 G.J.H.S. my name is Vicky Martin, I met several of you at Rick's 40th Class Reunion. I am not sure who to contact but, Rick sadly lost his battle with Parkinson's. I am trying to let everyone know and try to move forward. He was the love of my life, my best friend, I will hold him in a very special place in my heart for the rest of my life. Richard Lee Martin Sr. December 7, 1947-June 12, 2013 Richard Lee Martin Sr. December 7, 1947 - June 12, 2013, Richard Lee Martin Sr. of Grand Junction, CO was born to Jural Joseph Martin and Leta Jerry Mea Whitlow Martin in Milan, IL. Rick moved to Grand Junction in 1959 and graduated from GJHS in 1965. He was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad for over 35 years as a Car-Foreman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rick enjoyed riding motorcycles, ATV’s, travel, camping and genealogy. Survived by his loving wife Vicky Martin who was his full time care giver for the past several years, step daughter Renae (Eddie) Phillips, step granddaughter Braelyn of Grand Junction, step grandson he helped raise, Jade Wilkerson of the home. Stepson John Wilkerson. Son Richard Martin Jr., daughters Amy (Tim) Toles and Tamra (Brian) Heaps all of the Salt Lake Valley, Utah, grand children Bailey Martin, Alec, Jaron, Kaleb and McKenna Heaps, Nephew Arlie (Bud) Jordon (Gloria) of Grand Junction and numerous nephews and nieces. Proceeded in death by both parents, 5 half brothers and 3 half sisters. A Memorial Service celebrating Rick’s life will be held Saturday June 29, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2949 Hwy. 50, Grand Junction, Colorado. He will be missed by so very many. Cremation has taken place with Callahan Edfast Mortuary.
