| About Me | Upon graduation from high school enlisted in the US Navy as a Heavy Equipment Operator. I was in a special section of the Navy referred to as "The Fighting SeaBees" SeaBees are construction trade skills, and used in time of war to land on foreign soil, and while being shelled, build roads, airstrips, clearing of dense forests, and preparing the landing area ready for the troops who would come when area is fully prepared. Graduated from Heavy Equipment Operator class "A" school with a 96.8 final grade average.(Correction, i found test results when cleaning out the garage that say grade pt. avg of 98.6!) Stationed on Okinawa, Japan from Feb 1,1976- Oct,1978. Experienced 1st hand mass hysteria on Okinawa in October 1978, just before I left the Prefecture, as the island switched from right hand lane driving(like here)to the left side.
