M/Sgt. Jeffrey L. Kniceley Sr.
Class of 1984
Jeff enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1984 and served as a Crew Chief on F-4 fighter jets. He then served in the Air Force Reserve, transferred to the Air National Guard in 1996 and in 2001 became Active Guard Reserve with the 178th Fighter Wing. He served Humanitarian Missions in Belize, Hurricane Katrina, Denmark, Honduras and South Dakota, and served a tour of duty in Iraq. His commendations include the Air Force Meritorious Service Award, Air Force Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Meritorious Unit Award (Combat), Operation Iraqi Freedom Award, Ohio Humanitarian Service Award and Global War on Terrorism Award.
Jeff passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer, on Friday January 11, 2008.

May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
Jeff emailed this poem at the end of an email from Iraq to the class of 1984 for our 20th class reunion that he had to miss because he was called to serve our country.
