Class of 1984
Army, 20+ Years
Commissioned in 1988 and served as a maintenance officer and UH-60 maintenance test pilot. Upon successful completion of company command, was selected into the Acquisition Corps and served in the program management career field. Retired after 20+ years of service at the grade of Lieutenant Colonel and am now serving soldiers as a Department of the Army Civilian Aerospace Engineer.

I served in the USN for 8 years as a Aviation Electrician Mate 2nd Class. I did one tour in Viet Nam in Fighter Squadron 74 based in Virginia Beach, Va. aboard the USS America CV-66 (72-73) I was on Yankee station when the peace treaty was signed (also Steve Tipton (class 1970) was on board during this cruise). I also made a MED Cruise on the USS Forrestal CV-59 in 1974. The last four years I spent on shore duty at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, Va. till I got out in 1979. I have stayed in Aviation my whole life, and it is one of the most interesting job fields one can be in, I am currently a Propulsion Engineer with Boeing Commercial Airplane Group. If you fly, most likely I was part of you flight.
