Alan was a good friend to all and one that I am pleased to have kept in touch since we met in 1951. He was married to his wife Sherryl for 43 years and had 2 sons . A great supporter of GLHS, Prior to his death, he was awarded the 2010 Roy Gilstrap Award for his continued service to the GLHS Community. Alan always had a good word for everyone.Before returning to Florida, he managed the Chickamauga Depot-Museum for more than a year. We will miss his smiling face and comforting voice, until we meet again. (J. Blakely)
