Hal Yates was one of the best friends that I ever had. His passing left a big hole in my heart and life.
Lloyd Kelso '78 said:
Hal Yates was my school bus driver for my junior and senior years. He was a very good friend and classmate. I do remember the last time I road the bus home my senior year, he wished me the best in my life. I had told him that I was going into the US Army. The last ride home was a little quiet and a few questions about when I was leaving to go into the US Army. I still ol bus number 102.
