| About Me | Lived on SSI for a little over 6 years. Dad was in the Navy, and in '75, when the base was closed, he was transferred to Memphis, TN (talk about culture shock!). I was really mad at him because we moved in the summer before my senior year, and I wouldn't be able to graduate with the people I'd gone to school with all those years! But, I'm still a class of '76er. Married for 38 years, 2 kids, 3 wonderful grandkids, empty nesters (FINALLY - didn't think our son was ever gonna move out!), 2 dogs (Husky & Husky mix ) Best dogs ever! Jeff & I have been back to visit the island every year for many years now, since I still have ties to the island.
