About	Preston Eugene "Duke" Marlowe, Jr., 49 of Lansing, MI, a Portsmouth native, passed away at his home in Lansing, Jan. 27, 2010. He was born Sept. 7, 1960, in Portsmouth, to Preston E. Marlowe, Sr., of Lucasville and Colleen Joy Lewis Varney of Mt. Sterling, OH. Duke was a law tutor at Legal Education Services with Attorney John Mamaligas, in Lansing. He was a Capital University graduate with a B.S. in Psychology, and a 1979 graduate of Glenwood High School. Duke was of the apostolic faith. In addition to his parents, surviving are his son, Matthew S. Marlowe of New York, N.Y.; two daughters, Kathryn E. (Scott) Peachey, and Karen M. Marlowe, all of Hilliard; two brothers, Jay (Amanda) Marlowe of Mt. Sterling, Todd (Names Neno) Marlowe of Circleville; three sisters, Terri Marlowe of London, OH, Marsha (Joe) Grfifith of Lancaster, and Annette Marlowe of Mt. Sterling; and a granddaughter, Alexa A. Marlowe of Hilliard. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Jay Marlowe and Frank Lewis officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery .
