us army for 24 years Germany from 64 to 67. then 13 years on and off at fort hood texas ,with four tours in korea, one in new York at Seneca army depot and one in A> P> Hill Virginia. My wife was also a graduate of glenelg the class of 65 Loretta stonesifer.

He was station in Fairbanks Alaska from 2003. Went to Baghdad Iraq and was killed by a road side bomb in 2006. He was an Army medic. Also a 14 year member of the Lisbon vol Fire Dept. We brought Joe home so he could be near his family.

Computer sites around the world, including Fort Polk, La.; MacDill AFB; Fort Frum, NY; Heidelberg, Germany; and SHAPE, Belgium. Was at the head of the line when we went into Somalia. Part of the clean-up crew that put Florida back together after Hurricane Andrew.

Proudly served in the Active Army, Army Reserve and National Guard totally 23 yrs. Also participated in 2 campaigns in Iraq, both Desert Shield and Desert Storm. During my service time I have held numerous positions all dealing with Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare. Most emphasis as a Chemical Officer has been directed towards insuring troops/units; be they Division, Brigade, Battalion or Company level in NBC intelligence and chemical operations to include surviving a dirty battlefield. Exercised staff and advised commanders of the impact of NBC on tactical, logistical and civil-military operation. Some of the positions I held while serving were, Division Chemical Staff Officer of the 47th Infantry Div, Chemical Operations Officer, 2nd Armored Div., Division Artillery Chemical Officer, 2nd Armored Div,, Company Operations Officer, 44th Chemical Company, Brigade Chemical Officer for 101st Aviation Brigade, Executive Officer for the 1/338th Regiment, Commander, HHC, 85th Division Exercise and Chemical Staff Officer, U.S Army Central Command, Saudi Arabia.

Served in the Navy from 1964 to late 1967 for the Supreme Allied Commander in Norfolk, Va in Communications. After leaving the Navy I joined the Army National Guard in Ellicott City for 8 years as the NCOIC of the Battalion Aid Station. Loved my years in the service.

Joshua Krout has been serving in the USMC since graduation aand has served several overseas tours in ireland germany and Iraq. He is scheduled to go to Afghanistan before he leaves the military for a career as a Maryland police officer.

21+ years working in computers all but 3.5 years as an Air Force recruiter in Lexington, KY. First assignment out of Basic Training was to Indiana University for Intensive Russian Language training. Was a 9 month training period but I only stayed 7 months. Left Indiana for computer position in Georgia.
I spent 2 years at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska (I drove there and back), and 4 years in Wiesbaden, Germany.

I retired at 21+ years after 8.5 years at Scott AFB. ILwhere I still reside in Belleville, IL.

I loved my Air Force career!

Spent 12 years on Active Duty as a Military Police Officer. 8 years at Fort Bragg, NC; 3 years in Stuttgart, Germany and a year at different training courses, to inlcude the Officer Basic and Advance Courses at Fort McClellan, AL. Spent 7 years in the Army Reserves. Currently back on Active Duty as an Army Judge Advocate General.

Served in the active Army, Army Reserve and National Guard from 1969 - 1984. Currently assigned to the Retired Reserve in the rank of MAJ. Commissioned from ROTC at Auburn University as a 2LT in 1969 in the Air Defense Artillery. Had assignemnts in Air Defense, Special Forces, Chemical Corps, Army Aviation, Ballistic Research, Missile Intelligence, and as an Army instructor. Units and instutions assiged to included: 20th Special Forces Group (ABN); 1/5 ADA, 2nd Armored Div.; 326th Chemical Co. & 490th Chemical Bn; 3392 USAR School; Army Air Defense School, Ft. Bliss, TX; Army Aviation Flight Test Activity, Edwards AFB, CA; Ballistics Research Lab, Aberdeen, MD; Missile Intelligence Agency, Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Spent 11 years in the marine corps, and died valiantly for his country. His end was in the hands of terrorists. They took him hostage, and tried to extract information from him. The methods they used killed him.

Enlisted in Frankfurt, Germany after living in Berlin Germany for 2 years, 1989-1991. Originally trained as a Graphic Artist, where I spent 2 years at the Pentagon working for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel. (ODCSPER). Then stationed at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indiana and reclassified as a Military Journalist and was assigned to the Far East Network in Okinawa Japan, doing television and radio. Left the military at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in 1996.
