Reunion details are as follows -
Friday, October 4, 2024 – Due to an overwhelming response from our graduates we “outgrew” Garbo’s because of fire code limits.
The Friday night event will now be held at Galloway Station located at 1281 E Republic Rd in Springfield from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. We have reserved upstairs.
Even though this is a cash bar event, please notify Rita Boyer-Reagan if you plan to attend.
Saturday, October 5, 2024 – -The Main Event will be held starting at 6 pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel; 2431 N. Glenstone Avenue; Springfield; 417-831-3131. The plan is that Parkview and Kickapoo High Schools will also be having their reunions that evening and that at the end of our private reunion time, we will open the partitions between the meeting rooms to allow one large group of 68 year olds to mingle and reminisce. Casual attire.
Tentative plans for the evening in the private GHS meeting room include:
6 to 6:30 pm – Welcome/Cocktails (cash bar)
6:30 pm – Buffet opens
7 to 8:00 pm -- Program
8:00 pm – Assemble for the official 50th Reunion photo
8:30 pm on – partition walls removed and mingling begins with the other high schools
The reservation cost for Saturday evening including the buffet is $20 per person with a reservation deadline of 9/15/2024. For reservations made after 9/15/2024, the cost will increase to $40 per person so send your money in as soon as possible.
Reunion chair Rita Boyer-Reagan is accepting VENMO payments or checks.
