Marine Corps, 4 Years
Joined in 1967.Went on active duty Feb. 68.Served in Vietnam with 1/3 as radio operator with infantry in 1969.Wounded in Vietnam near DMZ.Served remaining 5 months of tour on Okinawa.Came back to Camp Lejuene,NC in '70.Went on Med Cruise.Made Sgt. E-5 in 2 yrs 8 months.Went to tracked vehicle operator/maintenance school in Albany,GA.Taught driver/mechanic school at Lejuene till discharge in Feb. '72.

I work on F/A-18's fighter jets, I am currently a Staff Sergeant. I am stationed in San Diego Ca, I have been all over the world been to 20 different countries and been to Iraq twice. The picture is of me and 2 basketball stars.

Marine Corps, 4 Years
Volunteered on 17th birthday. Was on Mediterranean Cruise 1-64 where we were closely followed by a Russian Fleet and remained at sea so long that The Whole 6th Fleet was declared a liberty risk. Instead of going to Cannes France a dive liberty port we were able to go to The Isle Of Malta which turned out to be a great experience. Late while on Air Alert we were flown to The Dominican Republic where while out repairing phone lines running to a line company I was wounded and received a Purple Heart. I had lots of medical problems while in The Marines and even after going through all my chain of commands trying to get help, my grandmother, aunts, and mother writing to my commanding officers, I never received any help.
