About Me	I grew up in Glenview, Illinois (Glenbrook South, Class of 1968) and was known as Bob Davis until I went away to college. I noticed that professors could not handle the confusion between my official first name and my nickname. Seems like they were giving better grades to Glenn, so I just gave-up the cause. Now, I don't care what people call me. It's great being a geezer! I have lived all over the country (including San Jose, Seattle, San Diego, Virginia and Maryland) before returning to Oak Brook in 2000. In 2011, we moved to Walnut Creek, CA and plan to stay here for the duration! I am the very proud father of a wonderful son (Chris) who has a great job with Federated Investments, as well as of my lovely daughter (Ashley) who works for Northwestern Mutual in administration. I graduated from The University of Illinois-Chicago in 1972 with a degree in Communications. For many years, I held various sales and marketing management positions in the computer software business. In addition, I owned my own business of investing in, renovating and then re-selling outdated houses. In 2014, I wrote my first book entitled When the Grain Ran True: Memoirs of a Major League Bat Boy which I published in 2015. I have traveled quite a bit and have many favorites such as Bermuda, London, Hawaii, Arizona and most places in California. I spent two weeks in Taiwan in 2008 and that was quite an experience. In 2010 I made the ride to Rapid City, SD on my VTX1800F and was captivated by the Badlands, Devils Tower and Mt. Rushmore. I was joined on that trip by my wife, Merci who recorded the journey with her great camera work. We now ride on my Goldwing GL1800 and go someplace most weekends. I continue to watch my share of high school, college and professional baseball and occasionally pick up a golf club and wonder why I did that!...(read more)
