GBN 50TH REUNION (+ONE YEAR) WEEKEND ITINERARY

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
5:00-7:00 Wine Class and Tasting presented by our very own Mary Ross, award-winning sommelier! $40 includes wine tasting & pairings. @Larry and Pam Zall's home (2587 Stowe Ct., Northbrook IL 60062). Limited to 40 people. Must be paid in advance to hold your spot.*

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1st
1:45- 2:15 p.m. Start time for Golf (scramble format) @Heritage Oaks (formerly Sportsman's) All skill levels welcome to play. $75 includes 18 holes, cart and practice balls. Must be paid in advance to secure starting time.* Contact Steve Galston for more info: 847-367-1611 extension 2403

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2nd

6:00-10:00 p.m. The MAIN EVENT at Marcello’s, 1911 Cherry Ln, Northbrook. Cost: $65 per person.* Casual attire. Cash bar.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Twelve rooms have been set aside at the Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel, 1110 Willow Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062 for Friday and Saturday night (October 1st & 2nd). The rooms are $149. Six are already reserved by classmates as of today.

The Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel at 933 Skokie Blvd, Northbrook, IL, is another option. (847-498-6500) They have given us a price of $118.23 including tax. We have held ten rooms so far. All the rooms have just been refurbished. Identify yourself as a member of “Glenbrook North 50 + 1 High School Reunion". Hi all!
Your reunion committee is hard at work behind the scenes, preparing for our Oct. 2nd get-together! Just wanted to give you and update on how many people might be attending.
After going through our list MANY times, making phone calls, and rechecking emails, we sent e-vites out to 272 people. Over half of those never replied. Some of those might be 'bad' emails, we can't be sure. Sadly, about 60 of us have passed away.
After going over the list again and combing it for errors, we recently sent out over 400 postcards via snail mail to everyone we had a physical address for. Hopefully, you all got one! That generated a few more responses.
SO! So far, we have 84 'yes' attendees, and 78 'maybes'. Some of the 'maybes' might be waiting to see what the pandemic climate will be, but things are really looking up!
If you haven't responded to the e-vite or think you never got it and still want to attend, please check your spam mail or let us know, and we can resend it to you. If you want to change your 'maybe' to a 'yes', also, please revisit the e-vite.
We will be sending an update via the e-vite soon, which will also explain how you can reserve your spot for the events.
