| About Me | Currently a facility maintenance manager for a manufacturing company. After high school I worked the usual teenage jobs until I got a good job with the street crew at the Village of Lombard, however, that didn't last long because upon my dad's insistence I got a job at International Harvester which he arranged. That lasted only 3 years due to the huge 6 month strike that the company never recovered from and I was eventually laid off. Eventually I was able to get a position with Motorola working in the tool crib/machine maintenance department, then moving into facility maintenance and was with the company for 25 years until they farmed out my division (at least I got my pension). Then I was with a couple of different companies for about 5 years each until I found this one with Grunt Style which is only a few blocks from my house, so I'm hanging in there until retirement, whenever that is! Back in 2000 I took a road trip up on my bike to Sturgis, South Dakota. While in the region I thought I'd just hit the road and take in the sights. So much to see out there- Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse monument (which was still under construction), Deadwood which is infamous for its wild west history, touring the black hills, and so much more, including the wildlife, like mountain goats & buffalo roaming free. I went further and into Wyoming just to see Devils Tower which was made famous for being in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.. Nothing like doing a motorcycle road trip, that's for sure. It takes a lot out of of you, being on the road for so many hours but well worth it.
